Brother Dan has just shown me his upcoming model. . . . the WS-1021.

The following pic is a little fuzzy but pretty self-explanatory.

At approx. 5/16" (.312) from the tip, the thickness of the SYKCO 1021 is still less than the diameter of a mechanical pencil lead (.032")!

Now that's some thin SR-101 !

Let's Drink!

The Yard has been asking for a mini TW for a while now...

The ironic part FOR ME, at least, is that it appears to make an ideal hunting knife as it stands. I would prefer to have something 3/16" thick if it were to be made as a sort of fighter/combat knife along the lines of the Taliwhacker. I just wish these smaller designs Dan has been releasing were more like .25-28" thick, personally. I definitely like knives that can cut and appreciate thin knives but I really feel that thick, beastly knives are mostly what we are all here for AND they are what Dan & Jerry have really spent years getting JUST right. My opinion, and also that of the late Cliff Stamp, I might add... was that a slicer at similar thickness is really the last thing I want from Wauseon, OH because that is not what the maker has spent the majority of their time working with. If I want a slicer I would much prefer to just get something from Spyderco, when I want a combat knife w/ Resiprene-C on a hell of a budget I look to Scrap Yard.

If this comes out, I'm buying one......the WS1020 is just about perfect, and This pushes closer still. I Love trailing points!

However, I agree.... A Beefed up version Alpha Regulator sized would be Fun.
