"Hey dude sorry I wasn't checking you out, I was looking at your knife"

Pretty rare around here too, usually if I do see one it's some garbage wally world special...

I'm a little southeast of you, and with all the Marines and other service members here, as well as the just plain good old boys I see quite a lot of clips, and from time to time, some fixed blades on a belt. I don't really look that hard to see what they are carrying, as the last thing I want is one of our nation's finest questioning my motives. ;) I notice them more in a sense of just trying to be aware of my surroundings and who is carrying, at least openly. Never had nary a problem, though.

Around here, it would be odd NOT to see a clip in someone's pocket. I'd be somewhat embarrassed to ask, though, as they might well have a better knife than I do.

I don't find myself looking, if I spot one I'm pretty quick to identify the one I know and the obvious ones but unless I'm in a knife friendly environment, (like a knife or gun show) I usually don't even approach anyone.

The funny part is I got my first Sebenza, a small 21 over a year ago, I've carried it in my pocket, in a pouch in pocket, clipped to pocket but the one I've done the the most is clip it to a piece of paracord around my neck. I've carried like that around my neck every day for about a year now and nobody has said anything about it, the only person who even recognized it was a knife was my physical therapist and only because her bf was a biker.

99% of the people who see it think it's jewelry like a necklace. :)

Again mostly gas station variety. Some BMs here and there. A lot of Kershaws. Saw a guy with an ESEE 3 in his belt a couple days ago...first ESEE I've seen out in public.

I don't ever see clips around here, so when I finally did tonight I couldn't help but stare at my male professor's behind for an uncomfortably long time trying to figure out what it could be. It's not a clip I recognize, and I'm not even sure it's a knife. Security wouldn't let someone in with a skateboard because it could be used as a weapon, though maybe faculty enjoys a little more trust. It sure looked like a knife clip, broad and either well worn or sporting a "distressed" black coating. This will bother me for some time because it's been a long time since I've seen another knife in the wild.

It's funny, I can usually spot at least two or more pocket clips on the other Dad's at children's play areas and the like, rarely anywhere else though, Due to the setting I don't bring it up.

Spotting a knife clip (or a knife at all) outside of a gun club or the gym I go to (most folks there, including the owners, are knife enthusiasts) is pretty rare here. And finding somebody carrying a quality knife is even more unusual.

I actually met a guy who's now a very close friend of mine because I happened to be carrying a Spyderco clipped to my shirt pocket at a barbecue. Neither of us knew anybody there and we began talking knives just to pass the time.

seeing knives clipped to pockets is an everyday thing where I live, I've also been seeing increasing numbers of some people carrying fixed blades on their belt.

That would be a funny shirt, everyone where I live carries a knife (God Bless Texas) and I am always doing that.

I see a ton of clipped knives around town. However, it is rare to see a good quality knife. Mostly Walmart specials.
