Hey Dude -- That's bird food!




A member of the small herd that lives in my woods. I put out corn for them but once in a they come up to the house for a treat.
 
You're so lucky to have woods nearby. I live near a mall. It used to be a palm plantation when i was younger. Now it's a super sized mall. I think it's the biggest mall in Malaysia. Makes me sad sometimes that all the greens are gone replaced by shopping centres or condo's.

My dream is to one day own a ranch and just live off the land.

The only animals we have are our cats and those pesky squirrels.
 
I think the guy at the feeder is my old friend "Buttonhead". When he was a yearling, he figured out that the guy who brings the food is not a threat and started to come to the picknick table to get the Cardinal Mix. Last year he showed up after a year absence and had antler issues (see photo). He would stand at the table while I poured him a meal. He came back this fall. Don't know for sure if it is him yet because it is unwise to get close to a buck in November. He was back again this morning with some does and yearlings, so I'll try to get acquainted again.
