hey marc good to see you here.!!!!!!!!!
not sure have you seen the kershaw outkast?. looks good . but ive heard of handle complaints. has any one heard that? top willing price 200.00 $

Never used an Outkast, but that handle does look a bit off. Odd shape...looks like it's got ridges on it. Might be tough on one's hands.

People seem to be raving about the ESEE Junglas...but that's on the high end of your budget.

esee junglas..?...... google time. i checked them out im steered away due to the black blades. does it hold up? whats a high saber sharp grind?.

sven thank you . however im in jungles i tried a old hickory and i was not satisfactory... i often run across vines as well as a coconut. i could need one of a pair . no one knife does it all right?

Saber grind is basically a flat grind that doesn't go all the way to the spine and I hope it's a sharp grind. :D All accounts say it holds up well and if it doesn't you can return it with their top notch no questions asked return policy. It would be the leading contender for me if I were in the market for a blade that big.

Another option....Ontario Ranger Bush Series RBS-9. 9 inch blade, about the same thickness as the Junglas. Much cheaper at about 75 bucks.

But...it's coated. Hey...you get a can of paint stripper and a wire brush....ba-bing...no coating.

thank you shotgun . first for me! marc im not sure of that stipper. does it really work?.
but always used sandpaper?

I hear that paint/epoxy stripper will do the job.

And Shotgun...which "would be the leading contender..." for you? The Junglas?
