Hey Fiskars guys.

I was looking at the Fiskars hatchets, They show four or five 14 inch hatchets ranging from 20,--to 30 bucks. I can't see the difference. They all say 7/8 lb heads and 14 inch handles.????

Where were you looking? I know of 2 variations, the standard one that most of the Fiskars fans here have, and one with flared cheeks for splitting. I think the splitting version has a slightly longer handle too, but I'm not positive and I'm too lazy to go looking around for the specs on line right now.

I have the one with the 'flared cheeks', get the other one UDT. I think I have to grind those flares off to get this lightweight to keep going through the cut. I just measured it and it's 14" on the money, and total weight of 1lb 3ozs.

I just got the 14" one without the flared cheeks seems great.
