Hey,

Have a happy Easter

I just bought an EU-17 Magnum from Luopo on the exchange forums. I was wondering that if anyone here can tell me how to post pictures of this knife when it arrives. I have access to a digital camera but would like some help posting these pictures.

Thanks
Peter

Congratulations on getting the Magnum. I love mine. Biggest Busse I'm going to be able to afford for a while.

Since you have one, what is the balence like. It looks like it would be really blade heavy but I have been told that the balence point is right where you want it to be in a fighter. I cannot wait to get it! The leather sheath it comes with also looks incredible. Coiuld you please post a picture of yours?

Thanks
Peter

Sorry, can't post a picture: don't have a picture, and can't post pictures as a registered member. There used to be some threads around here with pictures of the Magnum EU-17.

IMO, the balance is more like a fighter than a chopper. The fully flat ground blade keeps the weight down, and the knife is quite lively for its size. If you take advantage of the choil (for a forward grip) the balance becomes neutral, and fine work is not too difficult.

The handle has to be held to be believed. The ergonomics are perfect, or at least as close to perfect as I can imagine owning.

The tan coating is very tough, and I'll be interested to hear if you still want to have it refinished in green once it arrives.

Thanks,

I think I am going to keep one for now and if I am able to locate a second I will put a jungle green camouflage finish on it. Thanks Scott, I would like to thank you for all the time you put into trying to help me find one of these. I cannot bear the wait for it to arrive. Thanks for the information of the balence,as this was my cheif concern with this large of a blade. This will be number two Busse for me, my third, well, I am still thinking of what it should be. Thanks

Peter

Please don't take my EU-17, it is/ will be my precious. I will try to post pictures of it in action when I get it. Any idea as to what should be the first thing it chops/slices?

Did you get it insured? I DO know people at the post office :D If you insured it, then there will be no worries, right? ;)

Seriously though,
Congrats... Nice snag

You are gonna love yours!

I got mine from idahoskunk a month ago, and I really enjoy it. It cut through the cardboard package it came in with literally no effort. I pushed a little bit, and it sliced.

It's balanced very well, and I was able to do backcut flows with it with no problems. I live in NYC, so I wedged the magnum between the slots on those old fashioned radiators to see if I could bend it.

No give, nothing. I know that if I tried to pull more, the radiator would start to move off the floor, so I quit while I was ahead.

The only problem I find with it is...well, they're not being made anymore. It's an amazingly designed knife. I wish Jerry would make more.

Incredible pictures,

Those pictures are great! I do have one questian though, exactly how long is the blade. I have been told they can be anywhere from 8 inches to 9.5 inches. How long is the blade on yours? Thanks

Peter

Perhaps if we sign a petition we could get Mr. Busse to make some more?
Otherwise, I am still looking for more!

Here it is boys!!!! The Magnum EU-17 offer!!! Read carefully!!!!

There are only 28 pieces available in this ONE TIME OFFER! They will be serial numbered. For those who get in on this offer and who already have the standard model, we will match serial numbers for you if that is your choice.

This particular knife is a longer version of the EU-17 and like the regular EU-17 we do not have permission to give out any info about the teams that carry these.

Here you go

Thanks for the information. I do have one questian though: I am new to the collecting of Busses and was wondering how rare 28 peices is. This may sound stupid to you more experienced collectors, but is 28 peices rare for a Busse. Basically, what are my chances of scorring another one?

Thanks
Peter

How much is "slightly longer"? How long is the blade?
