i defintely wont be afraid to use any of them for stupid jobs
They aren't safe for "stupid" jobs. Instead of Frost Cutlery knives, I keep some old kitchen knives in the shop for dirty and 'stupid' jobs. At least I know the kitchen knives won't fold up on my fingers or fall apart. And they have better steel too.

Frost Cutlery is great for the under 10$ level
There are lots better knives in the $10 range. In the $1 range, maybe not.

Frost knives are actually good for self defense. Keep a few in your pockets and if you ever get mugged drop them on the ground and run away. The mugger will almost certainly be curious and stoop to pick them up. Before he realizes he's been tricked, you will be a block away.
LMAO!

I had the bright idea to buy the 200 piece set from the t.v. show a few years ago and take them to trade day and sell em all. I still have every single friggin knife in that set in a closet well almost all of them , I've gave a few away to friends, but i give them 5 or 6 at a time and tell them heres 5, because 1 isnt gonna last that long.

I had some Frosts in the early 80's. I remember them being decent, haven't seen one lately...

A few years ago when I was all about quantity over quality I bought a ton from them at like 4:30am while watching Cutlery Corner and sole them all on craigslist withing the last year cuz I was sick of them taking up so much space. Some of them did come really sharp and one out of every ten would be a decent knife for a single hunting trip of camping trip just to beat til it drops but they are not meant to be owned by any serious knife collector. Also watch out for the other few brands that are either made by Frost or just always sold on Cutlery Corner or at SMKW which I think are Uncle Lucky, Chippewa, and Steel Warrior to name some. Now they do sell Hen & Rooster which can go either way it seems on quality but I wouldn't buy them. Next time use a budget that size to at least buy Schrade, Mora, or S&W. Those brands catch a lot of flak but they are very decent especially for their price.

My beef with Frost is that they make non-functional liner locks. I sharpen a lot of folders at work for my co-workers. Those big 4 inch Frosts are a regular & at least half of them close with a little finger pressure on the spine. They're functional slip joints. They also sink the stop pin into soft plastic, which doesn't help. I'm not surprised for the price, but I really wish Opinel & Sanrenmu would replace them as go-to gas station knives.

there is one thing good about them. i defintely wont be afraid to use any of them for stupid jobs
I wouldn't even use them for stupid jobs. I was handling some at the local hardware store and was able to defeat the backlock on one of them with thumb pressure on the spine of the blade.

Early on they used Schrade, and other decent contractors (like the guys who made early Blackjack knives) to make their knives, so they weren't always awful, only the last 15 years or so.

worst damn knives ever :barf::thumbdn:

Are you surprised?

Ok the point has been made and the usual trolls who troll the trolls have had their say.
