How about some suggestions for an elegant, non-locking "Gentleman's EDC" way under $500? Bonus points for a handle that provides a reliable, non-slippery grip without finger grooves (grooves are another indicator of a weapon according to some Florida judiciary).

FYI, I believe Micahel Walker is considered the father of the modern folder. On the same site one of his knives, a very early one, is for sale for like $140,000.That would pretty much kill the rest of the knife budget for this week!![]()
