Hey y'all,Bfusmc03117 over in prac tac is lookin for MT suggestions. I am just bringing it to the attn of the guys here. I know we almost all carry one. HE's gettin close to deploying, well...y'all can read...
victorinox swiss tool. i have owned plenty of multitools in the past. SOG's, leatherman, victorinox and no name brands.
the swisstool is by fare the most comfortable, well thought out multitool in my opinion.
fit and finish is excellent and the sheath it came with was well made.
there are however a few things that i would like to point out. it is not one hand opening in regards to blades. and the blade is serrated. other then those things it is a perfect multitool.
i skimmed over the thread titles and didnt see anything in regards to a multitool by Bfusmc03117 so if you can link us to the page or if he can come here and state what he needs to do with the multitool i think we can be of more assistance
yes for more detailed info, the MT section here has lots of good stuff, also try multitool.org for even more.
Victorinox, Leatherman and Sog are favorites.
They have their pros and cons, depending on your needs and likes, but they
make a good, quality product.
My all around fav is the Vic Spirit, not too big, great tool selection, great warranty,
and IMO the best finish of them all (corrosion resistances).
I know he hasn't posted to this thread but (since I'm not a paying member yet) I can't search for his thread, so I'll ask my question here.
Why doesn't he just go to supply and get the standard issue gerber, I did and I still have mine ( since no one asked for it back) it has served me well for the last 7 yrs or so.
