• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I know you have alot of hatchets. Do you by chance have a Norlund? My buddy gave me one today he picked up at a flea market for 5 bucks. I left it at the shop. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Scott, that one I passed up at the Trapper's Rondy, in the place were they were doing the demos, was a Norlund. You got a good one.

I have a Norlund Hudson Bay axe & a Norlund Hudson Bay hatchet, that I have had since the early 1970s & both are in great shape & still cut great!

The one I have, the head is like a tomahawk and the handle is similar to a hammer handle. I'll post a pic later today.

Hey Scott,

Sorry just answering this just got back from 3 days camping at a huge hippie jam band fest and 1 night in the wilderness. I think the heat and mile from the camp to the stage and half mile to the water tested my survival skills more than the wilderness;)

Yeah I got one. Yeah mine is similar to what you describe and it is a good chopper.

Head like top one Scott ?

Yes, akabu. Here it is. I reprofiled the edge. It was too thick.

Scott,

That's the one I got but that looks like a replacement handle.

I thinned down the edge on mine too.

I wondered about the handle. Looks more like a handle for a ball peen hammer.
