Well,
I have internet again...and a new baby girl! Everyone is great here, I hopeyou have all been behaving while I was gone. Good to be back. While I was away...I practiced alot of knot tying, and worked on a couple knives...I got a Kabar big bowie..great affordable chopper. Gene

No pics just yet...I stripped it ofcourse..and put it through its paces...very tough knife, and the Taiwan steel holds a fantastic edge!

Welcome back bro. Congrats on the new baby girl! My buddy just had a baby girl. We're practicing the speeches we're going to give her boyfriends. When it comes time, I don't know how we're going to keep from laughing.

Gene,

Good to have you back! Congrats on your daughter:thumbup::thumbup: Life is good here, family is great, business is good, and managed to get outside and work the property today. Post a pic of the Kabar and your girl....

thanks guys..I am still working on my systems right now..so no pics for a while..I now have 2 computers, and I am building a third...I will not get messed about with when it comes to the interweb again. The older system is the one I have running right now, and its a pain in the butt as far as USB ports..I have to share one port for my printer and any other additional stuff..but my other new awesome system is getting some additional drivers added on monday..then I can do it all. I am hooked up with a buddy that makes some sweet systems..so my forth system is already in the works..something nasty! The mother board is in his hands...he assures me its an animal waiting to be built. I will have to buy a jet engine to run all the fans I'm gonna need....atleast thats what he told me:D
I am gonna rebuild my original as a backup, and give the old system to a friend in need...
Anyways..back to knives..and babies..my daughter is great..I just fed her, her first bottle..mommy thinks Im a hero! So thats doing well, the Kabar has a great handle..very comfy for chopping and the classic bowie blade is tough as nails. I dont know if it will replace my trailmaster as my goto bowie, but its a good knife, that carries well. I got another TOPS tracker..and reprofiled it..fully convex goodness..polished and modded the sheath for scout carry and added a Gerber Suspender to the package..it weighs a ton, but it sure is fun! I know most of you guys cant stand em...but me and Pitdog have fun with em..I have been using my Skookum and Fallkniven Idun the most lately..in the short utility column.

Congratulations on the new family addition :thumbup::thumbup:
No photos of the baby holding the bowie, no matter how cute she is :)

Its great to have you back bro!

Congrats on the new baby girl!!! Now go get snipped:eek::D

congrats on all the good stuff. glad to have you back. im good, aside from the lack of a job, but that is probably for the better, it lets me focus more on school and ACT stuff.

Great to hear that you've got a brand new healthy baby girl Gene. Must'va been why you were tying all those knots before she popped out! Beats pacing the hallway! Sounds like you're building a computer arsenal to match your gun & knife collections. At least with a few computers one of them is bound to be working and give you online access. Hope you have wireless and not dialup! Summer's coming just get a big floor fan and sit it behind your computer, then you can turn the AC off! What? No cigars?!! Or in our case here at the WSS, what no Firesteels?!!

Its great to have you back bro!

Congrats on the new baby girl!!! Now go get snipped:eek::D

I already have an doctors appointment for a talk about just that!

Doc, good to be back, thanks for missing me! I am online, and it looks like I willl be here as much as possible. I dont see any late night bar hopping in my future:D
I plan on taking this spring and summer seriously, and getting out for some overnighters. I went for a walk the other day and found several deer ticks on me already...this really pisses me off...I care about the envioronment alot, but there has to be a safer alternative for the local fish and game..or cities to use and spray. It feels like the summer months are restricted to me, as I am paranoid about Lime disease.
Anyway..cant wait to get out and do some woodsbumming...OH..I almost forgot..I also got a bunch of Hoods videos...even the one with our own Brian Jones...great stuff in there..the knife making DVD is my favorite DVD of all time. Tai Goo is awesome..Hood is a joker and entertaining, plus imformative. Now I need Marty's plant walk DVD to complete the collection of DVD's that make my wife groan out loud.
