Hey!......I finally made a folder!

As always i'm drooling!!! You have an insane control of the lines... the flow. Every possibility reduced to beauty

Thank you again guys. I appreciate the posts.

Brownshoe, Coop- thanks for the suggestions. I will be doing clips and initially thought about just mounting them on the surface.......but you guys are right, an inset clip would be much more appropriate, especially for my tastes.

Coop- I'm guessing that you were talking about the screw holes not being chamferred? Yeah, you're right. In fact, I do that on most everything else and just plain overlooked it here. I'm kind of embarrassed by that actually, that I didn't catch it I mean. I totally agree with you. The nice thing is, I can still do it. :)

It does feel very good in hand. I took care to 'dehorn' all the sharp edges on the inside of the liner, everywhere they are exposed. The edges are still crisp, just not sharp. There is nothing on this that bites the hand at all. I too, much prefer softened edges and the way they feel.

Again, thanks to all for the comments and the suggestions. Looking forward to the next one.

I love the simplistic clean design. I really like the lines and the fit and finish looks great. I can't wait to see the next design.

Thanks guys.

You forgot to mention the backspacer in the specs. Tell us about that please.

Sure. The backspacer is also made of g-10. It is fileworked to match the filework on the spine of the blade. I left it just a little proud of the liners on the outside, then knocked the sharp corners off. The result is a nice positive indexing/grip reference point without being obtrusive or sharp in any way.

On the inside it is also fileworked just in a coin edge fashion. Why?.................Just because. ;) I think it adds a bit of intrigue and visual appeal. To my eye, it looks nicer than looking in there and seeing something plain. Now, before anyone can say, "That would be a place for lint and other pocket debris to be trapped." :D let me say this: the only other folder I made had a smooth backspacer on the inside and it trapped just as much lint and pocket debris as any other folder on the inside. And even if it traps lint, it won't keep the knife from closing. So I guess I'd rather see it not plain. :)

Thanks for the comments.
