No problem. Accurately communicating a thought is not always easy. My wife and I hardly ever understand each other! :D

I should add that I have also purchased directly from the factory, at the Indy show (my 2nd Busse, a 1/4" SJ CG), and my first Busse (a Basic 9) came from the One Stop Knife Shop. A few years ago, a fair number of knife shops carried the Basic line. I think it is unfortunate that the sources are so limited now, especially with the new production/sales schedule of making/selling a particular model only for about one month out of roughly 1 1/2 - 2 years (I am guessing at when the cycle will start over again, and if it will even be the same order and same models).

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm currently planning to work for a year or two, and then go to school and take a heavy equipment operator course. But I need money, like $7000 worth of money. :D

actually basic members can vote as well. . . but since I have only bought one Busse, I didnt vote.:cool:

On my screen it says in the blue bar at the bottom of the poll results "Voters: 25. You may not vote on this poll", and there is no way I can see to cast a vote.

Rat wasn't saying that you could vote, he was saying that BASIC members could vote. A basic membership is actually a paying member of these forums, but it's only $10/year. See the link at the top of every BF page that says:
[Upgrade your forums experience] for details.
If you will notice, below your name it says "Registered user", Below mine is "Gold member" and Below Rat's is "Basic Member" Therefore, we have each paid $0, $25 and $10 each year for membership.
Is that clear?

Thanks for the clarification. I forgot there is another level, between free and Gold membership (probably due to old age, INFIitis, or something like that :D ).
