I know you occasionally trade guns for INFI, but have you thought about branching out? If so, I'm headed to KY in a couple hours and can pick up some moonshine as well :D

Just thought I would share with my Busse-kin family what I've been busy doing since March and that is helping my buddy raise a little over 5 acres of West Virginia burly tobacco. It's been a tough year and many across the country were hit with drought and we had our share of long, hot days that messed with the tobacco a bit. But we're persevering and this is around 1/5th of what we have bailed (minus a few bails not pictured). I think we have around 1,327lbs headed to market within the next two hours. We'll be headed for Danville, KY to sell at the market and hope for good prices. The bails range from 65 to 140lbs each and there are 5 grades (Flines, Lugs, Leaf, Tips and Junk) for those familiar :) And for the Busse-kin content, there's my lovely Kill Devil Hawk with an oge14 handle wrap. You'll have to excuse the poorly lit iPhone pic. Nighty night

Looking good. How much you bringing to Blade?

I may have to see about keeping a few leaves and try smoking it. I've given up smoking for dip, but need to quit the tobacco. I wish I knew how to roll cigars and am not sure how this would smoke or what the flavor would be like for cigarettes or cigars. What's cool about this stuff is that there's only around 4 chemicals used for growing. Really wish I could sell it outside the market, but farmers are restricted on selling. I'm green to this (growing) but my buddy is a 4th generation grower. I'll snap some pics of the market as I was amazed at the amount of tobacco. It's a smokers paradise :D

Not sure how it would smoke.....?......

After seeing grown men smoke grass (literal grass, not weed) wrapped I toilet paper, I'm sure this would be just fine.

I miss Ft Hood.....

Haha. I meant to say not sure how the flavor would be. I'm sure wonderful though as it smells great and rj Reynolds and Phillip Morris use this tobacco in their cigarettes along with other varieties I'd guess. The tips are supposed to be sweeter in flavor so I'm curious and will have to smoke some. I can relate to needing a smoke but not bad enough to try weeds in a field.

You can't roll a cigar man!!!
You'd have to be a hot leggy Latino chick to be able to roll them!
And the flavour would depend on which part of herself the said chick would roll it on!:D

I guess we missed the auction day but still sold it. Here's a couple pics of the market warehouse. Lotta cigars, cigarettes, etc gonna come outta here :D

So here's a glimpse of my day. Now 4 more hours of driving then nap time haha

Very cool Bryan. Looks like a great haul and some incredible smoke. If your dipping try the skoal extra. Its good and flavor last plus trial cans are 1.85 and lot of times you get 50cent of coupons and next time they're 1.35+tax.

Also, what part of WV? How far from Elkins/Canaan Valley?

Thanks. That's 1/5th done and more to go. My buddy and I are running on fumes. Wish I had the strength of a Busse right now haha. I have corrugated bevels though (love handles lol). I'm dipping grizzly mint pouches and really want to quit but honestly I love nicotine too much so I may have to try the skoal. I'm between charleston and Huntington and not sure how far away that is :)

I've been dipping for over 20 years. Started in high school with Kodiak, which I now can't even stand the smell of, but switched to Cope once I figured out what real dip is supposed to taste like. I can't handle all those flavors and smells of the fu fu tobaccos. Makes me want to gag. I haven't tried Grizzly yet for the reasons just stated, but know I would save some money if I did.

I know nothing about growing tobacco, but enjoy a good cigar too. Your hobby looks pretty cool. Hope you made a few bucks for your troubles.

Thankfully prices are better this year. A big blessing cause I'm getting paid to help my friend. Glad payday is starting to arrive lol

Have never tried rolling my own but if I had one of those bales I would try. I wonder how many cartons that is?
