For the life of me, I can't remember how many cartoons are in a pound of tobacco of roll you own. At least two I think. If you roll your own, try Peter Stokabys Amsterdam shag. A bit more but had some great flavor. Okay, I just found a site that said a cigarette uses a gram of tobacco and there's 454 grams in a pound so I just took 593,832 cigarettes or roughly 2969 cartons of cigarettes
That's insane! Never done the math before haha. Obviously it's less due to the stems in the leaves but crazy!

No kidding. It boggled my mind as I hadn't done the math before. Crazy amount of tobacco in that warehouse as those bails with 5 5 5 on them are 4' by 4' by 4' cubes roughly. We're fortunate that this year that there is high demand and lesser surplus' out there so demand and prices are good. Unfortunately, that drought across the country hit some guys hard and I really hope they do well at market.

Hey Bry, send me a handful. I'll probably be able to scrounge up one or a pack of them cigarette rolling papers around here. I would like to try some tobacco that i knew the actual origin of.

Not sure if it will have the same flavor as this is it in it's rawest form from the field. I have no idea what goes into it after it leaves the sales floor. Thinking back, I was talking to one trucker and he was hauling 48,000 lbs of tobacco. I wasn't smoking much when we did this harvest, but will try the next harvest. Currently, the plants are in the float beds starting to come up as we had some rough starts and problems. Tis life

Ok, I guess it will need treating before it's ready for consumption. I'm seriously impressed by the crop though, must be so satisfying to produce something like that. Let me know how it smokes when you try it!
