So, once upon a time, I put a WTB ad on the forums for a Lil Ugly.
Finally heard from a guy, and we went back and forth for like 5 months about how much, gettin pics, how much, don't want to sell, want to sell...then nothing for 6 months...then maybe wants to sell, how much, delay delay delay for another couple months.
So, I go to Blade in 2003. Was at the table non-stop until biology said "break time".
Wasn't gone 10 minutes, got back, and Raden was standing there holding this Lil Ugly, yes THE Lil Ugly (there was no mistaking it from the pick, given the condition, wrap, etc.).
He says "look what I just bought from this guy here".
I looked at the other guy and said "Are you so and ao from the University of XXXXX?"
"Yeh, how did you know"
"I am the one who has been bugging you for almost a year on that blade"
"Sorry"
My first time scooped.
There was another out-scoop that day, again, by Raden, for something I was talkin to another guy about.....
So, that night, at the first ever induction dinner, when Jay was inducted, Jerry mentioned the 2 out-hoggin events.
Jay turned to me and apologized for scoopin me.
I just said "hey, no regrets man".
And that was the beginning of the Hog motto.
Then the porker sold the blade to someone else a couple years ago, but I know where it is....and that person knows its importance, and hopefully will keep his word to sell to me if he ever decides to part with it....
And that kids, is the whole story.
Nothin too exciting, just the way it is.
Sometimes fate just benefits one outcome over another.
Problem is, some people think it means it is carte blanche to hose people and not worry about it.:thumbdn:
That is the farthest thing from the truth, and completely against the traits one would like to see in a Hog....
Man, it's sweepy time....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
