Hey! New CRK User Here!

Welcome to the forums!!

Thought I recognized your name from over there. You picked a good subforum to be a part of, and enjoy your new knives. You got some good ones!

Cheers guys! Great to see old faces and meet some new ones too! Seemed like the Insingos were just made for using, and I am a user, so it was a natural fit. No queens in my house!

Welcome to BF. Won't be long and you'll be an addict looking for your next fix like the rest of us.

Nooo don't say that! I'll have to go hang out with the Spydie folks then. haha

BladeHQ email just showed up re: shipping of a certain large Insingo... Gonna have to plan a hike or something later in the week so I can take it out and poke stuff with it. :D

Love the Gizmo and the Seb. I belong to CPF as well, haven't posted there in quite a long time though. I used to be a flashaholic but got out of the hobby when I started my company. I needed a new hobby, so knives were a natural progression! Sebenza's are totally awesome knives, and the Insingo is great for so many things. This hobby is as expensive and addicting if not more so than torches, and they go hand in hand, so I would cancel all your credit cards and put a chain on your wallet if I were you! ;)

I'll have to get a few more pics of the Sebs with some other Ti lights up for you guys. ;)

I think I will always have more lights than knives though. Lights differ enough that I can find varying uses for many different beam patterns, tints, user interfaces, battery configurations, materials, etc. Knives all cut stuff... I feel like a handful of folders, a couple fixies and few multitools are about all I can justify. If I don't use it, I have a hard time keeping it. That's why I like to make sure what I do have is good gear!

Also, you're always welcome back at CPF!

Hey man. Glad to see another CPF forumite came over to BF! Ive faded in and out with CPF for the last few years. (Mgizler) over there.

This addiction will grab a hold of you fast. Next thing you know you will be selling lights to fund knives!! Haha. I have yet to part with my HDS's and some other stuff but always tempted at times.

If you like CRK, you would love McGizmo. Simple, no-nonsense, hardworking, beautiful pieces of engineering, painstakingly created by a man who just wants to make the best tools he can and hopes someone else will like it. Don is such a cool cat, so classy.

Mac is a great machinist, but a total tool. His stuff is hard to come by anymore, without paying through the nose. Frankly, if you want a Tri EDC type light, I would HIGHLY recommend you check out the Okluma subforum on CPF. Jeff is an up-and-comer; he is a self employed custom machinist by day, flashlight maker by night. He has created a Tri EDC style light and it is outstanding. And he is genuinely the nicest and most helpful guy. He is doing small batches of his TinyDC in aluminum, Ti and copper I think. Hop on the mailing list, and try to snag one of the aluminum. Very good price for a hand built light, he spins them in his garage. I love carrying this light, and I have tried quite a few fancy lights. It wasn't scratched and dented when I got it, so you can tell it gets used a lot. Bare aluminum on this piece, from his first run.

I don't know what the rules are here, so I just made sure there is a Seb in each pic. LOL.

I made the transition from CPF to BF myself. 70+ knives later, I can honestly say best of luck staying within the CRK realm, but you made a great choice!
