I just read a story on another forum of a LEO from London who was also an Iraqi war vet who had lost his Op. Iraqi Freedom Native in the line of duty and was trying to locate a replacement.

He said he recieved his replacement as a gift from Spyderco themselves.

This kind of thing is why I wear my Manix everyday with pride and reccommend Spyderco to anyone who will listen.

Sal, thanks for being the rare business man who we can be proud to support.

Thanx for the kind words Shotgunner. Appreciate.

Actually Gail get's the credit for the soldier. She makes those calls. Gail handles the entire OIF / OEF project.

She also reads the letters, the factory crew reads the letters and does the lottery selection. She set up the display in the store, built the "American Pride" book, which is a collection of the letters, photos and stories from our troops in the Middle East.

I'll pass on your "good job".

It would be definitely great to have an on-line version of this book, or perhaps exerpts, to read about all the situations a spyderco knife performed well when really needed. Thats the kind of story every spyderknut wants to hear :)

What do you think?
