Are there plans in the works for a combo edge Salt or any knife in H-1?

I would really like one of these folders but for my purposes I would like to have both a plain edge and serrated edge. To me it seems more practical than having strictly serrated or strictly plain edge.

Thanks for your time.

Not Sal, but my opinion is worth something... I think....:grumpy: :D

Whats even more practical, is to carry TWO knives, one SE, the other PE. Very useful, and fun. :o

I would but who wants to carry 2 knives when your swimming around on the beach? I would hate to look like a modern day rambo. :D

Hi Rededge,

It depends on demand. We try to accomdate our customers, but 3 variations of each model & sku does offer inventory challenges.

It seems that each person has their own preferences, which is why we make so many in the first place.

Why not a Salt with a mostly-serrated blade (vs. most combos which are mostly plain)? Either a smaller model or the same thing as the larger Rescue with that arrangement?

Are there any plans to make any more of the Assist models? Hoping there might be an H1 version in the pipeline?

Hi Carl,

Finding the "right" amount of serrations for the lengthof the blade to please everyone is always a challenge.

Hey SpydiEye,

We're planning an Assist model in bright orange, but H1, at this time, cannot be formed into the Assist blade.

Hi 3G.

That was my thought, and some have also requested one. We're doing the finishing refinement on the design at this time.

I really like the serrations on the Salt 1. The last 5/8" of the tip is not serrrated and it is way thicker than a normal Delica tip. It seems to be the best of both worlds. The serrations hold an edge for a long time.

An H-1 Dyad would seem to solve the problem.;)

3G
Ditto that!
And a mini-dyad (same size as the old mini-dyad) in H-1 as well, please!
I've also been putting off buying a salt because i keep flip-flopping back and forth between serrated vs. non-serrated.
If the Dyad (large and/or small) were available i'd buy (at least 2) today!
:)
