I have CNN running about 16 hours per day. It's on right now so I get the background voice even tho I'm not watching the screen.

Last night I was watching the tanks rolling north at 40mph and the commentator pointed out an AF warwagon which was right up there in number 2 or 3 position and he said it was staffed by 3 air controllers who called in strikes, making sure the strikes went to the right place and didn't land on US forces and equipment.

And I thought of our good Sgt. and his boys.

Interesting to see the AF in a warwagon in mumber 2 position rolling north across the desert.

People look at the recruiting commercials and think the Air Force is a bunch of Tom Cruise looking dudes zipping around in supersonic aircraft. I'm glad the boys in the US's "other Air Force" got some recognition, and thanks Uncle for bringing it to folk's attention.

They're good guys, they make me proud, and you can bet my heart is with them even if my sorry a$$ ain't.

My prayers go out for their safety and their success in this important effort. My prayers go out also for the families of our fallen brothers in the Marine Corps. Semper Fi, ever faithful, they were and they are.

I believe the first to fall to enemy fire was a Marine trying to secure an oil well.

In truth that well and a hundred more wasn't worth the life of that Marine but this is the way of war.

I pray for all of them and the families. When one of the Marines goes down it hurts me but any one of the coalition soldiers getting killed makes the hurt just a little deeper. I think I love them all. God, Help them through this mess.
