Hey, What Happened to Ghost 6 and Cliff???

They are still here. I have been also but not as much as I like. So many posts I can't get to read them all. Lot's of new H.I. guys

The software got messed up a while back and they got me down for March 99 when it should be I think Oct.98. Remember we were some of the first people in here. How about all of the rest of the guys like Julian and Tristain?

Hi Cobalt,

Welcome back.

G-6, look up on search. Cliff is very much still around and a moderator at that.

Ghost was banned but still lurks. Email me and I'll give you some key words to search under. Sad. Jim March might respond privately and more succinctly than I.

IMHO Mike and Spark showed tolerance, but acted of necessity. Doesn't mean I and others don't miss him.

Like others have said, Cliff is a moderator on the testing/review forum.

Best to let the G6 situation stand pat. I support everything Rusty said, in particular Mike and Spark should not take any flak for their actions.

'Nuff said.

I've been busy as heck myself, I'm barely keeping up with the forums. I've got a project close to done and I'll post details later today I think...political stuff related to the CA gun rights fight.

Sigh. Yesterday I went to a major gun show JUST for the politics, to spread a preliminary copy of this new report around. I barely had time to oogle toys. One guy had a brand new Ruger Blackhawk with a 4.25" tube, .357 and it came with the 9mm second cylinder, for $325. DROOL. It's blue, most people like stainless but the blue can take a bit more pressure. You can get dang near .44Mag ballistics outta one of them suckers, because there's more metal in the cylinder walls...higher peak pressure allowed. It's one of the few .357s I'd take on a boar hunt, with real hot loads. I've got his card, he's in my county...next paycheck I might slip him some cash.

Better yet, I heard a few of Colt's DA fire-almost anything got out of the factory.
38SPL, 357MAG, 380, 9x19, 38 Super... might be worth grabbing. But then again, You're you and I'm me.

I keep several .357s around because of ammo availability. I have converted to .41 for all of my serious guns. I was also lucky enough to purchase two .41 Marlin lever actions. The .41 has better balistics with the same or less recoil than a "HOT" loaded
.357. Anything Ruger makes is a good bargan amd hell for strong.

Good Hunting,

ts

Guns are for show. Knifes are for Pros.

I have an old Ruger Security Six that someone before me worked on real nice. And the .357 Marlin carbine to go with it. I guess that'll do me although I would like to have another wheel gun with a bit longer barrel and have some of the new sights put on them all.
I have collapsible buckhorns on the Marlin, but I would really like a nice peep sight. Any good suggestions along that line?

If you mix milk of magnesia with vodka and orange juice do you get a phillips screwdriver?

Khukuri FAQ

BMWGS80, I've been cleaning out the spare bedroom. Have you ever seen a big coffee can (39 ozs.) full of filled HKS57 speedloaders?
Could I sweet talk you out of one of those Marlins to go with my four 4" 41's?

Yvsa, I've got a Williams foolproof ( the foolproof refers, I believe, to the fact there are no knobs for fools to fiddle with - and hopefully you can get it away from the fool before he gets at it with a screwdriver ) on my 94 trapper in 44mag. It has a nice little screw in aperature disk, and unscrewed it gives you a GHOSTring. Of course I want to get another disk and enlarge it's aperature to a semi- GHOSTring, but I have to fiddle or I ain't happy.

Yvsa, I prefer the Lyman receiver sights over the Williams sights. I've just never been impressed with the quality of Williams sights. Lyman also offers a tang sight which looks pretty nice if you're into the "cowboy" thing.

Jim, I've not had much time to participate on these forums for a while now so I'm a little behind. How did your court proceedings go? Are they over? That Blackhawk sounds like a winner! I'd love to pick one of those up. I have a 357 Blackhawk, stainless w/ a 4 5/8" barrel. I've had it for a long time now and it still shoots great. You can really load up some hot stuff for these guns! Go for it!

Mike
