HEY! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE C23 RENEGADE

That was one of my favorite knives and I called my supplier yesterday to get two and he stated that they are out of production. Is this true? That was one of the nices blade designs I have ever seen. Are you going to bring it back?
 
Greetings Cobalt. It is interesting to bring up the Renegade. When the Native with G10 thread was being discussed I kept thinking that its design(at least in shape) resembled a Spydie I had some years ago. Guess what? It resembles the Renegade!! Am I way off? Sal, was there any influence from the Renegade in building the Native?

Hi Cobalt - The Renegades and Blackhawks are temporarily out of production. They are due in for some slight design changes with the handles, I believe. Spyderco has sort of put these knives on the back burner, as they are working to get new designs out to the market. One of these days they will re-release the Renegades and Blackhawks. Keep the faith

Well, I hope so since they are some of the nicer designs out there.
 
It will be nice when the Renegade and BlackHawk re-emerge.

I bet the changes to the handle are about smoothing them out. And anothe change would be to make the blade tip a little less fine, very one I saw was very fine.
