I am mainly just having fun with the semantics of what I see to be a fun game. I don't hold a "forum mafia clique" in much serious regard (just typing that makes me chuckle a bit).

I am not one to seek membership into any group that I see holding itself in a "elitist" regard. Hence why I am in the Kershaw subforum, and not in some of the other "outsiders not welcome, get crapped on for 2 years and we might talk to you" subforums.

I do sales for a living...if I were selling you, you wouldn't know it was happening.

Sorry if me clowning around was taken as an affront to something you view as serious.

I think it's worth saying that the likelihood of folks trying to get in on the fun, so to speak, would be reduced if threads like this weren't made in the first place.

All the references to discussions that only a small subset of forum members are privy to, the I've got a secret, I can't tell you what it is! sort of stuff, it's gonna end up piquing someone's curiosity sooner or later. Whatever you guys want to keep "inside" shouldn't be waved around in front of everyone else if you don't want them participating.

From my perspective, there's no need to drop a hammer on J_Curd or anyone else, for, as he put it, "just having fun with the semantics of what I see to be a fun game." No need to put out any kind of hostility without good reason to someone you called "a valued member of this community."

I took it as a tongue in cheek rebuke. I am on here daily, but I obviously do far more reading than I do posting. mind you, I also thought you could just ask to be part of their club, if you chose to, and you would be let in. perhaps I am wrong, but I'll see how OL responds first. Until then, I'll assume it was a joke.

The OP was meant as a joke. Several emails/PM's recently all seemed to contain (and yes, I was guilty of saying the same) the phrase "Don't tell anyone, but...".

I just wanted to see if the parties involved would pick up on it...

All harmless fun!

We don't consider ourselves "elitists". We are just a group of guys that
have been together for a pretty good while now and we all just seemed
to click with each other.

You're not special :p..........we'll give you "almost" as much hell as we give
each other. :D

Ease up on OL, I know you're intelligent enough to read between the lines. ;)
