Guys,

I thought I can pass the HG55, and I haven't jumped into the trough to get one "oinkficialy", but it starts to bug me, more and more...:o
Do any of you, who owns this blade have any actual experiences in using it for general tasks?
slicing, skinning-foodpreparing, working with wood...whatever.
I really start to like the different shape what distinguishes this blade from the other Busses...
so, a small review would be nice.

thnx, Peter

I Second that notion.. It looks like a viable, slightly longer alternative to the SUS Scrofa.. but I want to know how it handles general chores, with the thicker blade, and narrow blade height.

Please.. Anyone.

Interesting. Ken Lunde was generous enough to take a photo of the SAR4LE next to the HG55 LE for me.. if you look carefully, you can see that the Convex grind starts at about the same height on each blade. so effectively the geometry is going to be the same or close to it on each knife..

Maybe Jerry could PIPE UP and confirm..

I am guessing it will cut just as well as the SAR4LE, but in a less heavy package.

I use mine as a steak knife:thumbup::D

yea those picts are sick, email sent, probably going to have to get mine done

Has no one used this knife.....:confused: Some input on the OP's question would be welcome....:thumbup:

I'm also interested in reading user opinion on this knife. Can anyone explain me the purpose of almost vertical ridges on the blade?:confused:
