Has anyone used their hg55 yet? I just got my le yesterday and its been raining constantly, so no use except slicing some paper. This has got to be one of my top 3 busse's.

It's a stabber, jabber, kidney popper! An inside-the-waist-band insurance policy.

My le is just begging to skin an deer or elk, to bad it has to wait a whole year. Maybe I can find a nice wild hog in the meantime.

I have had mine out for some apple tree triming. Works ok but the edge is a little thick for slicing use. I'll probably end up thinning the edge on mine soon.

ya know...i realize this was made to be a fighter, but just cannot get the idea that this may be a great hunting knife, glad too see someone else at the least considered it...lol

Funny thing is my dad see's it as a hunting knife off of his randall model 3 and 4. He thinks they look pretty similar (hard to disagree) as far as the upswept blade and everything is concerned. He is considering buying one (FINALLY!, I have let him borrow an AD for the longest time) because he just loves thumb grooves and most Busse's dont have it.

He picked up the HG55 LE and said "Finally they made one right", hahaha I rolled my eyes but he thought the AD should have had no choil and thumb filing he loves it otherwise. I see him getting one as he wont leave mine alone...especially the LE.
