Compared to the NMFSH? Ill tell you what...if anything, its made me realize how great the NMFSH is. I love and couldnt be happier about the HH, wouldnt have rested till I got one. Finishes aside, the NMFSH is just awesome, that 1.5 inch advantage w/ the .319 thickness...way capable..and the Nuclear treatment..wow, especially the spine..I just discoverd an HH variant w/ a full flat grind (I think I did)..so nice..prefer that over a high saber (the saber grind is what foolishly kept me from the CBASH..yea, I know...damn fool)..I love the ffg on the NMFSH...if I was to have the two grinds on the two knives...this is the way I like it..NMFSH/FFG, HHFSH/High Saber..I love the pair,.. feel like you could conquer the world w/ these two..(Hmm?) ..not giving either up anytime soon..(famous last words)..
Etching?...I tried mustard, but it was taking forever..
So, I went w/ this stuff..

Yup... You got it bad!!![]()
Just one more... This one.... Ok... That one too.... Oh, there's that one, need it too... And...![]()
I convinced myself in didn't need the NMFSH... And I really don't... But... I do want one!
And I really like the meltdown treatment too, because it makes them much more comfortable in use.
Does the etching actually help the logo be more pronounced after stripping? Seems like that it wouldn't have much effect, if any, on steel.
