HHH Knives Pic Gallery.

This is a "OUT OF THIS WORLD" Damascus blade.. We forged this damascus from a METEORITE!!

Were calling this pattern "Galaxy" Its a combination of Meteorite and 1095 High Carbon steel.

Thanks guys, Yep Its Meteorite Damascus!

We started out with a 4 pound chunk of meteorite and Forged it, refining the space steel for a few days. To make the 2 lbs of meteorite that went into this billet! Then combined it with 1095 High Carbon steel and well after a bunch more forging and folding etc. This was the results!! :)

This is the second knife from the billet. Heres the first one.. Not the best pics.. But its from the same bar and the bolsters on this one are solid meteorite.. With Ironwood burl handles!

Randy, the level that your knives are at is just mind boggling. I don't even fantasize about being able to produce anything like that. Your work and Matt Baileys are probably at the top of my list.
 
My oldest son Randy Jr. forged this piece of damascusas a test piece for me.. Im super stoked about it and wanted to share! Its 18" long and totally awesome!

Jr. is working on a new/old pattern this week and Im finishing up the Meteorite damascus chef knife. Its a KNIFE LIFE!! :D

Heres one I added the finishing touches to today..

Its a 240mm Chef knife forged from a Meteorite and 1095. To create this awesome blade and bolsters. Topped off with beautiful mammoth ivory and stainless pins. The blade has a beautiful distal taper, and tapered tang. approx 2.5 mm thick above the heel. tapering gently to the tip.

The box is Curly maple and lace wood with cocobolo front handle, and Brass hardware. I added a piece of ivory and meteorite to the box so the RAW materials can be seen and handled. allowing a closer inspection of the cool patterns in the meteorite as well as the grain structure and texture of the ivory.

Last week Randy Jr. came to work with a WILD look in his eye.. Mumbling something about making a ONE MILLION LAYER damascus billet!!

After tying to talk him out of it for a few minutes.. I realized he was not going to be happy till he tried.. So I let him have at it! :D

Here is is. A One Million + layer damascus billet! The pictures suck, sry.. It looks like wootz steel sorta!
Ill show some of the knife when I get a chance to grind it.. This billet SOLD sight unseen, when Jr was forging it.. and will be a Custom kitchen knife sooner then later!!

I dont know what will be nexy for us.. But this was a ton of work and alot of fun to do! Stay tuned for the next wild and crazy steel from this kid! :)

That's the nicest bushcraft that I've seen. I typically don't like bushcraft knives patly due to the scandi grind, but I love that!

That's just nuts, nuts I tell you! Wouldn't 2 pounds of meteorite be in the hundreds of dollars? Last I saw, a meteorite the size of my thumb was $150 :eek:

Does that Meteorite knife come with any super power? :o
