Hey everyone, have a pretty much brand new B.A.S. Kukri from Himalayan Imports. I purchased this knife less than a month ago, and really wanted the horn handle, the sent me wood. Nonetheless, I love this knife definitely an eye catcher as well as an extremely functional piece of art. That being said, I used this knife exactly one time only, to chop a 2x4 in half and see its performance, I was very surprised at how well this blade worked. It did leave a few scratches, my g/f hit a rock on accident while chopping and left the blade a little dull. I sanded the blade starting with 60 grit and working up to 3000 and polished to a mirror finish, then used polishing clay to finalize, the blade turned out great, however there were still some small scratches so I have since started over with the 60 grit, almost all noticeable scratches have been removed now and the blade is course and the blade is sharp (not extremely, will not shave hair). I like this brushed look and pics are posted. The handle is Neem wood, and is not wood available in US, and is extremely resistant to rotting etc. I stained the wood and used several coats of lacquer for extra protection, the handle looks beautiful. lacquer has come off some in the brass parts of handle due to the sanding not very bad, can see it pics.
Anyway! I am open to all trades of equal value, preferably knives. knife was [Trade Value Removed]
