After seeing picture it is not an HI Bolo as I presumed. I contacted Auntie and declined as I already have one. Whom ends up with it we shall see. A shout out to our friend Bawanna for contacting me about the discrepancy, he knew I already had a Spear Vala. He's a whole lot sharper than he leads us to believe. I believe he keeps a talley of what goes where subliminally in the back of his mind. I'm truly impressed.
 
The Bolo pictured here looks different from the other ones I've seen.

This looks like more of a Smachet to me..

The Spear Vala is their rendition of the Smachet IIRC. Irregardless it's not an Hi Bolo I assumed before the pictures were posted. I'll wait for one to eventually show up or have one special ordered.

Can't remember who it was (Jay?) who seemed to have a borderline inappropriate relationship with their ASTK. Looking forward to what all the fuss was about.

WTF is my inappropriate realationship with an ASTK? Yes my name is Jay. Please point to facts not conjecture. Hope you're kidding. Just found out my nephew has cancer. Not in a joking mood.

BB, Sorry to hear about your nephew, it's really hard to take in, as a patient, and especially for the family, as I had found out when I got older.

Beating cancer has a lot to do with the mind, and staying positive, which isn't as easy as it sounds. I would say medicine makes up about 20%, and the doctor about 5%, the rest is all on the patient.

I was a stage 4 plus non hodgekins lymphomem, when I was 16, they gave me 6 months. I am the first survivor in Northern CA for that cancer type, at my age level. I am now 48. I had to receive an experimental protocol, with no real chance of success (at that time), it turns out they were right, because now they use 1/3 less of the medicine, and the protocol is 9 mts, instead 18 mts.

My family helped to keep me positive, and I wanted to graduate from high school for my mom, I think a part of that is the reason I beat the cancer. I didn't realize until my 30's how much my family went through, and I am truly grateful now, for everything they did, just to keep my spirits up.

Best thing for you to do and help your nephew, is just to be there for him, and keep him positive, during his hard journey, cancer is beatable, much more than 20+ years ago.

I was researching one night and it seemed like every post I read was pro-ASTK, and JayGoliath seemed particularly fond of his.

It's totally understandable, and we're here for you.
I've often told my friend that I'd gladly give a tooth to keep him out of the pokey, so if he gets riled up, I'm happy to take the slug. It's never come to that, but we are all willing to take it on the chin to help our friends out in a time of need.

We are here to help, however we can.
