Well, I've finally gotten around to posting pictures of my HI Bolo. Took these pics about 2 weeks ago after putting a really nice edge on it. The speckles on the knife are rust that won't go anywhere. My room flooded a few months ago and some of my knives suffered minor water spots and rust. Nothing some TLC couldn't take care of. Since the Bolo is a user I desided to leave the marks. :) Hope you guys enjoy.

I've finally figured out how to use my camera and take good pics of knives, so hopefully I'll have some better pics this afternoon. For now, Enjoy!!

HI knives are to be used. Dave Rishar smashed a cinderblock to pieces with his bolo. Great video.

I know. I was just kidding.

Actually I was quoting my sister when she saw the patina on my Kumar Karda.

Cool stuff, Heber.

So now you got the picture thing down.. do you still have the 30" AK?

Y'know, a pic of the bolo next to that would give a great sense of scale.

Ask Heber how I used a Napoleon sword in his yard...

Great pictures, thank you

Me likie! :D

Can't wait to get my hands on one! :) I don't know what it is exacltly, but that knife (sword?) actually looks really good even in its sheath. Can't say what it is exactly. Something about the handle? Anywho, cool pics. Got any of it in action?

I'm glad you like them. Thanks for the compliments. Wasn't able to get the good pics taken this afternoon. Shopping then a BBQ got in the way. ;)

Norm, I have no clue what the wood is. Yangu told me last fall when I got it, but can't find the email. What ever it is, it's nice. Will either thin the handle just a smiggen then give it a tung oil finish, or just finish it the way it is. Hope that will bring out some more of the lovely color.

This blade is definantly a user. But since I now live in the city I don't have as many chances to use it as I would have in college. Though I'll try to get some action shots if I can.

Mike, nope I sold Godzilla a few years ago. He's now up in Colorado with a friend. :) How would a 16.5" WWII and 20" Sirupati do for comparision?

Nasty, that Napoleon sword of yours is really cool! Sure did nice work on the trees. I was really impressed at how easally it cut threw those branches.

TMD, I agree, the Bolo looks good in and out of the sheath. It has to be one of the more atractive packages. (sheath and knife together) IF you can shark one up, do so. It's a great knife. Though be warned, the handles are Thick!

Okay guys, here are the better pictures that I promised. There wasn't a lot of light in my apartment so I used a 1 second exposure time. The Camera was mounted on a tripod about 3 feet above the knives.

The other knives in the pics are my 15" Sirupati and 16.5" WWII for comparison. Thanks goes to Mike AKA Ad Astra for the idea. I totally forgot to do comparison shots till he mentioned it. Enjoy!!

Thanks for looking. As always any comments or sugestions on how to take better pics would be apreciated. :)

Great new pics. Really get a sense of the size. And the fuller is a lot more obvious on these pics.

Does HI make a bigger version of this blade? I love its looks and absolutely will get one sooner or later, but seeing it next to the other knives made me feel like that handle could take another five inches of blade without being overwhelmed. Love to see that.

Great, just what I need, another HI blade on my "must buy" list! :D

I keep buying "one last HI knife." :foot:

Maybe the real last one should be a bolo... they do go quick at the DotD.

Super snag, nice shots.

I am thinking the tarwar could do most of what I would want it for, though... :(

what I NEED is to be attacked by Zombies, weeds and uncut firewood. Then I can actually justify, ah. No. Nevermind....
