HI Bowie tip re-shape....

Looks a lot more like a traditional bowie with the bigger clip. I think that it looks good. Did you sharpen the clip?
 
No. I haven't put an edge on it.

I sort of look at a knife for a while, to decide if I'm done playing. If I am, then I'll tich it up a bit! Lol. Sort of let her whisper a bit!

Several of the recent smaller Bowies have come with clip points recently which I really like…

I looked at it for a full year before I did the grinding. It actually removed very little steel. It amazes me how hard the Kamis make this old 5160.

With this little change it's much quicker...and I think sexier?
 
Aw, as far as function....there probably isn't any improvement....just different.

So often, these things end up being about a man's vanities. Or even just an old man's need to tinker with something that don't need tinkering. Lol.
 
You kind of got me hankering towards firing up the grinder on my beloved MMB (smallest version of what you did). But truthfully I'm skeered and I haven't seen the short handled version like mine in some time. They went to the inch longer handle for the big handed folks and haven't made the short. I've given away a half dozen or so, always kept one spare but then it went too. I'll have to ponder for awhile. You said a year you looked at it? Sounds about right.
 
Yeah Bawanna, I use a sharpee to draw profile lines....then wipe it off and try again....then think....then draw ....

I could extend the line way back and it would have completely changed the original flavor of the knife. But I tried to stay simple.

Little blades are tougher ...tiny tweaks make big changes.you know?

Head scratching has begun. I love this little knife and carry it every day. Think a little SOS work might make it even better.

Yeah. I see what you love . That handle is bonkers gorgeous.

If you want a little swoopy swedge... I can see it.

But drop points are so utilitarian....

It's a hard choice.

If you guys wanna see how far this can go.. I'll draw the profile line I was considering. . It gets spooky sexy .
