Hi Capacity 1022 magazines?

I sold magazines at gun shows and also online thru the 90's to 2003. (Hence my name.)
The steel lip Butler Creek was the best you could hope to find, second best were the magazines by Eagle. The only Ramline that were worth a hoot were the 25rd straight feed magazines, the 20/30/50 round Ramline were all double stack and mostly worthless
I never got enough feedback from the round "Thompson" style magazines. A guy I knew that was doing legal full auto conversions on the 10/22s said that they would not feed fast enough but otherwise were ok.

I just bought a Butler Creek 25 rounder with the plastic lips. We'll see how it holds up, but I've already made an important observation.

The mag will NOT feed Winchester White box bulk .22 ammo, but eats the Remington bulk stuff like candy.

So, if you find you are having a problem with one or the other mags, try a different flavor of ammo.

I've used Butler Creek (redlips and steel lips) and Ramline. The Ramline were completely useless. I didn't find much difference in feeding between the Butler Creek Redlips (plastic) and Steel lips.

I HATE RAMLINE.
go butler creek with steel lips, and spring for the speed loader while ur at it!
i think the butler creek ones are like $24.99

In my past and present experience with mags for the 10-22, i like the factory mags the best. My second choice is the steel lips, IMO they are the best aftermarket mags for that gun. I personally wouldnt buy anything else unless these werent avaliable.

tactical innovations are the best on the market but @ $44.99 they are expensive,
i buy butler creek hot lips or steel lips. i also have the butler creek speed loader

Called "Craig" at Tactical Innovations today.

They are 6-8 weeks out, 1000's of magazines backlogged.

All because of Barry !!

One thing he said that should be kept in mind: They won't be getting cheaper.

I've run about 5000 rounds through one and it's still going strong. For the money it's hard to beat (I bought it right after the ban before the steel lips model came out).
