This is one of the classic Big Dui Chirras, but one of the very few made in late 2005 with a pinned handle. 21" and 29 oz., by the Royal Kami Bura. This is not only lighter by 6-8 oz. than the originals, but also has a stronger handle. There were perhaps 4 or 5 of these made over a 2 month period.

The handle is Raktha Chandan, and it comes with 6 antler handled tools and a tinder pouch in red buff hide wood covered scabbard. Tools include karda, chakmak, tweezers, awl, saw, and something else I can't ID.

The handle has a super small _surface_ hairline crack near the pin on the right side, which was as shipped and hasn't changed since I bought it. HI refers to these as "super glue" cracks, and they are easy to fill. Toe of the handle has a 3 degree offset to line of handle. The heel, or top, lines up perfectly. Hard to explain, easy to see from the back, and impossible to detect while holding it. Common with these handmade knives.

Here's as close as I can get; the tiny crack is not in the pin, although it looks like it in the pic. It is actually slightly below the center of the pin, on each side of it for a total of about 7/8". It's not going anywhere, but want to fully disclose any blems.

$175 .

I pay priority mail shipping anywhere in the CONUS, but please add $10.00 for PayPal fees, full Insurance and Tracking.

Thanks for taking a look.

BTTT w/ last price drop. $165 firm; that's $10 below HI's best Deal of the Day pricing for this model. That's $30 less than I paid. Only a few pinned ones were ever made, and one guy got two of them. This is a 9 piece set and fully usable.

P.S. Will consider trades for any old style original YCS by any kami, (but would like a Sanu.) I'll even cover shipping both ways. :D
