Hi everybody! And New ESEE 5

Great knife! I started with the Junglas, then I knew I had to get the 5 and an Izula to keep it company. I think next on my list is a 4, HEST Folder and the new large pack kit.....then maybe a stint in Rehab ....lol

Enjoy your 5 and others to come.

Glad to have you here! There is a wealth of info here on everything from knives to divorce. Let us know if you need anything. Mike

Well I have had the 5 for a few days now and here are my thoughts on it....
WOW this is one hell of a knife, probably the best I have ever owned!:D I have batoned a few pieces of fire wood, chopped at some branches on a tree, whittled sticks into sorto f pointy shapes, and opened a few packages from Amazon containing Robert Young Pelton books, edge retention is great and it hasn't been to much trouble to bring back to shaving sharp. Normally I am super careful with my knives and hate when I get the first scratch on it but with this ESEE I am amazed at how much better they looks with wear and use. and now some pics after couple days of use

I will be adding more ESEEs to my collection sooner or later I really like the Junglas and the HEST I think they are next.

The 5 is definitely a bang up damn fine knife. My favorite anyway. I sometimes wonder if I should have gotten the serrations. Picked it up before I knew that the ESEE serrations weren't the typical kind I loathe.

How do you like the serrations?

I figured it had enough blade to get the serrations if it were any shorter I wouldn't have gotten them, I normally dislike serrations too but once i read that they are easy to maintain I figured it would add one more ability to what sounded like a VERY capable blade.
