The jungle knife is just suuuuuper utilitarian, but I think I have to give the Annapurna the chopping crown in this case. Small sweet spot, but once you're consistant it devistates.

My new camera should arrive about the same time as my Annapurna Bowie. I will try to post a good pic or two of my Rajkumar siblings.

I see a Fish on you Jungle Knife as a Kami Mark, right? That is actually Lok's mark if that is indeed what I am seeing.
Can't really make out the other mark so I will take your word for the Rajkumar thing, besides I remember when you got it. ;)

Thanks for the pix!

I've gone through FOUR of them this year. Canon A630, A650, Nikon L100 and Panasonic FH20. I have over 9,000 photos average on each one, and that includes the hole that was the A650 that died within two weeks of purchase (took about 1200 on that one). The Nikon had SERIOUS issues with any light source, and took alot of fanagling to learn how to compensate. It did a decent job, but simply can't hold a candle to either the Canons or the Panasonics when it came to automatically compensating for light sources and capturing true colors. I took a bunch on friday, but they didn't turn out very good-I was trying to take closeups as the sun was setting and they were either bleached out with the flash or fuzzy. I'll get out again maybe even this afternoon (take a break from studying) and take some better ones.

Right. Point taken.:o Come to think about it...I have a friend with an expensive Canon (1000$ up) with nearly the same issue...don't know why some cameras fail to deal with light properly. Sorry for 'pushing it' too far.:p

I wasn't carping you goof, I was asking for another shot now that he has both of the blades.
Try to read the whole thread before putting words into another person's mouth...

What's with the 'names' my friend?

First: My first post wasn't intended for you and it wasn't meant to offend anyone. I did not criticized the pictures I was merely making a suggestion. Practice what you preach and read the whole tread. "No offense..." means just that!

"Lay those babies out in the desert sand for me and take a nice comparison shot of the two for me...."
Man, I could have sworn you said take a nice shot.

....
The simple fact is, I asked him for a comparison shot of the two blades that is similar to the one I took of them.
I still like all of the pictures he took previously and find no fault in them at all. Understand?

Second: I fail to understand, when and why, what you like or dislike on the forum has become a norm. I didn't ever ask you if you like or don't like the pictures.

I will not post anymore of this in the tread or this unnecessary clutter can blow out of proportion.

My apologies to Payette for this and I stand to what I've said before - Cool Review:thumbup:

ridiculous, just plain ridiculous. "goof" is something I call my nephews when we are messing around. They are 8 and 10 and I guess they can take it without emotional damage. My mistake, was just messing around.

I do find it odd that when you mess with me, it is all good fun and when I do it back, offense is taken.
So here is the deal, knock it off. Don't pretend to play off of me in good fun any longer. Ever.

what a ...

You two need to keep this out of the forum.
I suggest you take it to PM or Email if you want to bicker.

It's all good, I certainly didn't take any offense by it. This Panasonic FH20 is getting a HARD workout. There are some cameras that motivate you to take pictures just because they're a pleasure to use, and this is definitely one of those. I'll be taking some more using shots as well... yes warty, it is indeed a fish. There are 7!!! Kami marks on that blade, and I went back and double checked that Yangdu listed it as made by Rajkumar. It was the 9/13 DOTD thread.

I am enjoying this comparison and all the pics ;)
I also have both models (as of today :) ).
One observation - the AB I just received (DOTD 9/22) does not have the "hook" at the end of the handle that I see on others. Handle still feels very comfortable. I will probably not put it to use until this weekend. Both of these HI models (Annapurna Bowie and Jungle Knife) look like very useful big blades.

Maybe dogrunner can also add a shot of his two now that he is in the "club" :) so we can add that comparison to the mix.
Who made your two? Are they both from the same Kami? Thanks
