THIS BABY IS "BIG"! It's the kind of folder you take ,if you are going in the woods, on a bike ,or to do some work! Notice I said to do some work & not to work"as in an office"! It would scare the crap out of the PC correct!Blade alone is almost 41/2"! It is SHARP & gonna get sharper after tonight!Deer horn is beautiful, furniture is brass. It's a slipjoint,& when it opens,it ain't going to slip!Slight opening where bolster & liner meet.I have custom folders by some of the best in the world, this one is diff, when you consider what tools they have & how they do it,this folder is priceless!Don't know who was more surprised ,Bill when he got it or me when I got it!Those that don't like "BIG,SHARP folders won't like it ,"So what,I do & that's all that matters"!

I'll say it again: deal of the century.
For some reason I keep trying to think of a name for the giant Bura-made pocket knife. Tsimi--any ideas? When I saw your report I thought of the "FK"--Folding Khuk.

    I still like:

B - Bura (or substitute Big as desired)
F - Folding (or other descriptive)
    K - Knife

BFK - You had it Mochi... just had to give Bura credit :D

If you like folders and you like handmade stuff you gotta love this one.

I'm not much of a folder guy but I might like to have one of these one of these days just for giggles and fits.:)

One thing I would like to see is some better pix of it. Uncle Bill's pic of it didn't do it any justice, but was the best he could do with what he had.
Tsimi can you get any pix of it to us? Or should I say "would" you?:)
    Many thanks.

The pix I got didn't do the knife justice -- BLUE horn! This is what I get when it's too cold to take pix outside in good light.

Thanks Yonegi. I will sure do that for everyone's benefit. Do you still have my snail mail address or do you want me to send it to you?:)

Tsimi, you could always take a high resolution scan (Kinko's will have a scanner available) of this knife. Just save the scanned images in an .jpg format, so the files are not too huge. Then ask Yvsa to post it for you :) I think alot of us would like to see this folder up close.

I like big folders! It would be good to see a good pix of it. Bill, how much would they go for, any plan to make few more?
I'm in the process of moving home, I'm now split between two places with one hour train in between. My new place is coming up slowly but surely and in march I will be set.
As I'm saving on the technical side by taking care of plumbing and electricals myself (small jobs but big savings)I will probably be able to buy myself some presents. The Cherokee Rose would be one, and this HI folder could be his pocket buddy.

This folder is not going to be a big seller I don't believe. We are making a few more for forumites who prepay. $100 bucks.

I know this has to be really nice because Tsimi the Yonegi says so, But it's one I would like to handle before I commited to it and that ain't likely to happen.
Doesn't really matter anyhoo because I'm not a large fan of folders to begin with, but it would be nice to have one made by the Royal Kami of Nepal.
It oughta be a collection piece since I doubt that many will be made.
Still like to see one though I would.:)

You might be able to talk Tsimi into "loaning" you the folder for a month -- or several. Maybe.

Tsimi, are you feeling ok or should I have Vince administer corrective action?;) :D :p

...probably the only folder he has with no hole in the blade, and stumpy little shape :D
