HI Ginungting

I can just envision Spectre with that objet d'art, smiling a quiet smile in his tower. :)

I like it Yangdu. Only visible minor flaw (!) is the lack of curvature on the blade. Other than that, I applaude the work! Love all other details for sure! I'll keep my eyes peeled for more, I am looking to purchase one by years' end!

Peace & Blessings to you and yours!

~John.

If you were going to fight with that having the edge on the wrong side would be a problem, but I don't think anyone is instead whoever gets it will display it and that piece would look great on a nice stand under some nice lighting

i believe jake is now the proud owner of this one :D
HI has corrected the edge placement on new gunungtings :)
for those who prefer the backwards design... HI also has the "backwards blade sword"

Handle doesn't appear to be pinned. Might be just a case of heating the laha and reversing the handle.

Maybe not simple, but not all that challenging to some of the folks here.

Seems like it would make more sense that way-- beautiful, nonetheless.

As Yangdu mentioned, the blade was the kami's own design.

The Ginunting is a multi-purpose blade. The forward curvature is designed for efficient chopping and of course the pointed tip is for... playing sword tag? :P

Anyone got any links to the Ginuntings HI is offering up? I don't seem to be able to find it on the main site?

Thanks, ~John.

ummm...it looks like the edge is on the wrong side. traditionally, a ginunting has it's edge on the recurve side.

old news, mentioned it in the early posts of this thread.

the edge placement has been corrected since the initial offering, see This Linky for ones with the edge on the correct side.

the ones where they got them wrong are now known as the backwards blade swords....
