Hello..
I've been around for a while, lurking, had a knifemakers membership and let it lapse..I just never posted that much:o
Anyway..I finally got something put togather and wanted to show you guys.
I need to apologise for my really lame pics though:barf:
This is a sashimi knife, blade is 8.5" cpm154cm. Handle is ebony with horn, and a mokume pommel 5" , traditional chestnut shape.

Let me know what you guys think.

it looks great.....the shape of the handle looks a little too round to me....maybe a hair more oval if you were going for a d-shaped handle.....is the back of the blade hollow......it looks wicked and i love the mokume.....ryan

The handle is the traditional chestnut shape--and the back is concave, I had to freehand it on a 14" wheel ( sorry I should have mentioned that:o)

You couldn't choose a better steel for that than CPM154 ! I've tried the chestnut handle but wasn't happy with it - too many years living with oval !!...Nice work.
