It seems I have a kidney stone, too big to pass. Will find out later today what they want to do about it.

Not much pain right now, 2 nights ago was rough. A bit woosy, from the vicodin.

Prayers for you Tom, that the Dr.s will find a non surgery method to removing said kidney stone. I heard once that you can just get in an ulstrasonic bath or something to that effect and vibrate them to pieces. God be with you.

Today the urologist said that it may pass on its own after all. They are giving me flomax to help it along. They gave me a weeks worth of vicodin to help ME along. I get another x ray next Friday, to see where it is by then. Then, maybe they will try other methods.

Had some stones, his Dr. told him to go home and drink a couple of 6 packs. Of course that might not do well with the Med's but it did flush his out.

Smoke my friend. I passed a very small one once, piece of cake compared to some of the other stuff I've been through. Actually I never knew I had it until I went pee one day and heard a clink when it hit the urinal but then the blood started and I got a hold of my doc asap!!!! A round of pills that made me pee blue and that was the end of that problem.:thumbup:

I don't know about where you are but our medical center that we usually go too
has the ultrasonic vibrator that breaks them down small enough to pass, might be worth your time to inquire around if the present course doesn't work.
