In the interest of fatigue, please excuse the following excerpt from an e-mail I sent today.

The New Year finds us recovering from several challenges.

Tim has been in the hospital since last Wednesday, with dehydration. He is keeping food down now, but still has a lot of fluid leaving from the other end. He also had strep a second time, and an ear infection to boot.

Cathy is recovering from a sinus infection, and had quite a time with the intestinal bug too. She was able to spend several hours with Tim yesterday, and will head up to see him again.

Josiah, Micah, and Abby all had several chances to empty their stomachs, all while Mom and Dad were sick. Nathanael just had the trouble in the lower regions, as have we all.

I myself spent Friday in the hospital in Canandaigua, getting an infection drained, in the place where one sits down. I had a similar, and worse, situation ten years ago. Apparently, they just happen to some people.

I am still feeling weak, but no real pain or discomfort. I am heading back to work tomorrow.

Thank you all for your kindness to us. The food is much appreciated, as well as your prayers. Thanks to those who have helped us move, and clean out the Townhouse after.

This after all seven of us had strep right before Christmas.

Not whining, (I hope!) just wanting to fill you in.

We are now living on the east side of Canandaigua lake, a bit further south.

I can see the low mountains/hills on the west side from my dining room window. Mennonite horse and buggys go by once in a while, walmart :o :( :foot:  only ten minutes away, along with other shopping. I can see the lake several times on the way to work.

Cleaned out the boxes from the living room today, then shot the new bb pistol with the kids out back. We are renting a place with 1.5 acres, on a 105 acre plot. Our landlords are nice people.

I see my gold has expired.

AARDVARK, I haven't forgotten!

Hope to check in more, but must keep my feet to the fire, or in bed more, or out walking more.

cell phones can be great. While at the dinner table, the other kids and I had a conference/speaker phone call with Tim and Mommy.

Happy New Year to all!

Tom

Get well soon bro! And your clan too.

Happy New Year, and God Bless.

Tom, I haven't forgotten, either.

Take your time, be well, your family, too. I'm patient.

Happy New Year.

Damn Tom. That intestinal bug is awful. And strep too. So sorry your family has been sick. The new year will be better. Blessings on you and your family!

Wow, all seven sick at once!

I thought my parents had it bad when it was just me and my brother!!

Get well y'all.

I have no idea where "y'all" came from but it seems to fit.LOL

Thanks guys,

we are coming around.

made to lunch time at work!

never missed a meal due to lack of food, never spent anytime naked for lack of clothes.

There have been other reasons though!

:D

Tom

Tom, my prayers for you and yours. Sounds like you have your hands full right about now!

Right before the holidays the misses and I were sick, as were 2 of the 4 kids. 1 of the healthy kids cut themselves, which then prompted the other healthy kid to heave repeatedly. Oh joy.

I miss your posts, and pics of your work.

Have you had a chance to shoot your swissies lately? My dad and brother inlaw gave my K31 a little work out the other week. I was busy and didn't get to go with them. :( Good thing, though, is that my dad has pulled of the beaver chewed stock and has started refinishing it:thumbup:

Sorry to hear about all that in your family!

Hope the cut heals OK.

Haven't shot any Swiss lately, but did pick up an M48, and 2 Turk '93s, plus a good bit of 8X57.

The M48 is a nice shooter, and very clean. I think I can get one nice shooter out of the 2 Turks.

They are taking Tim off of the IV today, to see if he can hang without it. If so, he comes home tomorrow. That will be day ten this visit.

The real challenge for me now is not to kill myself trying to catch up on stuff.

Thanks for listening!

Tom

Sorry everyone has been so sick, Tom. Best wishes for family health.

Hang in there, Tom, the way you always do. More prayers from Montana. Let him come home soon!

Smoke going up for your son Tom. I didn't know you had one that young.

Best wishes for healthier January, Tom & family....

Hate to see anyone go back to work, but love the engraved firearm pics you post... :D
