In the interest of fatigue, please excuse the following excerpt from an e-mail I sent today.
This after all seven of us had strep right before Christmas.
Not whining, (I hope!) just wanting to fill you in.
We are now living on the east side of Canandaigua lake, a bit further south.
I can see the low mountains/hills on the west side from my dining room window. Mennonite horse and buggys go by once in a while, walmart :foot: only ten minutes away, along with other shopping. I can see the lake several times on the way to work.
Cleaned out the boxes from the living room today, then shot the new bb pistol with the kids out back. We are renting a place with 1.5 acres, on a 105 acre plot. Our landlords are nice people.
I see my gold has expired.
AARDVARK, I haven't forgotten!
Hope to check in more, but must keep my feet to the fire, or in bed more, or out walking more.
cell phones can be great. While at the dinner table, the other kids and I had a conference/speaker phone call with Tim and Mommy.
Happy New Year to all!
Tom
The New Year finds us recovering from several challenges.
Tim has been in the hospital since last Wednesday, with dehydration. He is keeping food down now, but still has a lot of fluid leaving from the other end. He also had strep a second time, and an ear infection to boot.
Cathy is recovering from a sinus infection, and had quite a time with the intestinal bug too. She was able to spend several hours with Tim yesterday, and will head up to see him again.
Josiah, Micah, and Abby all had several chances to empty their stomachs, all while Mom and Dad were sick. Nathanael just had the trouble in the lower regions, as have we all.
I myself spent Friday in the hospital in Canandaigua, getting an infection drained, in the place where one sits down. I had a similar, and worse, situation ten years ago. Apparently, they just happen to some people.
I am still feeling weak, but no real pain or discomfort. I am heading back to work tomorrow.
Thank you all for your kindness to us. The food is much appreciated, as well as your prayers. Thanks to those who have helped us move, and clean out the Townhouse after.
