Been there, tried that::grumpy:
Bill said it wasn't worth the trouble to try to get them made. The eye of the 'Hawk would vary all over the place with no standard handle and we figured that there wasn't enough people skilled enough to make their own handles. There won't be any HI 'Hawk's.
Crazy Crow Trading Post at http://www.crazycrow.com/index.php has some decent 'Hawks at decent prices. Be sure and get their forged models.
Have you checked out the axe and tomahawk forum? There are a lot of good 'hawk forgers out there. I don't see the point of going through the HI 'special order' hassles - ask Pen about it.
Let's hold out for the HI cleaver. OR- just make a very slight half moon curve to the existing AK bowie and it'll do Kitchen work as well as a little Jim Bowie rib ticklin in the dark.
I got a banchero, which looks to have a great deal of potential, but the- uh, whatever that "loop" is that the haft goes through- wasn't quite circular. And the attachment sucked- always felt like it was going to fly off.
The little ax is getting a nice new haft installed by my friend Kaylee of THR.
