The scales are from a recycled old oak chair leg from work with flared copper tubing to hold 'em on. It was a 20 minute handle job. One of these days I should do a proper set of scales but these have held up well for almost 20 years so maybe I'll just wait till they get loose. Than again they haven't loosened after 20 years of moderate to bordering on extreme use so I guess they'll hold for a while longer
