Hi. I'm Steve...and I'm an addict. I've been sober now for 6 hours.

I have a tendency to go from 0-60 quickly when I realize something interests me quite a lot. The more I think about the whole "custom knife" thing, the more I realize I would rather have 1 or 2 versus 5 or 6. Right now, I'm trying to decide between a Medford Praetorian Ti or a Crusader Forge (unsure of model at this time).

That's an impressive collection there. I too went through the same process, the difference being I didn't pick up my first $200+ knife until about a year and a half into my binge.... You went all in on the first hand. :)

Lol damn dude thats insane for 2 months hahaha in the 3-4 years ive been collecting i only have 1 CRK and its a small sebbie with micarta. Can you adopt me?

Did you drop a couple of G's on knives in a few months? Lmao. That is an addiction, you need counseling man!

i know what your going thru. I too started collecting about a month and a half ago, my current tally i'm up to 9 spyderco's, 7 pm2's a sage1 and a dragonfly. along with a microtech ultratech and a zt 0560. oh yea i also have a cf para2 on the way this week and a large sebenza 21. i'm just like you i see something i really like then start collecting, and then it's balls to the wall! i'm already researching my next purchase... i'm trying to stay sober.

Yeah... sure you are ;)

Hi Steve! That is quite the collection for only 2 months! Hope you've budgeted yourself well, sounds like you did, just don't like hearing about people digging themselves into holes... I've been busy myself lately but I find that researching is the key to getting what you really want and saving yourself the money and hassle of ending up with something you don't want.

Good luck with that ;)
An older forum member, (Dave H) no longer with us told me "...pick something and collect it, pick a maker, pick a pattern, pick a scale material but pick something to collect and make sure you collect what you like..."

My best advice to you is don't be an accumulator, pick something more specific to collect, when you "collect knives" it gives you licence to buy anything with an edge. Unless you're independently wealthy you'll end up broke with a few boxes of knives in no time.

BTW, nice start. :)
