HI Kerambit?

I have a bone handled kerambit in a kydex sheath.
I havent used it much. If someone wanted it, in theory, then they would need to email me, in theory...

But I think in practice it would be to expensive for me :(

Have pics for us?

I have the first one....:D

And it's not for sale. :p

The one I will keep has a wonderful back draw sheath made by that guy who posted above me.

IMHO, HI's kerambit is not a real kerambit but rather a small curved knife with index finger ring at the top of the handle.

Kerambit or better known in this part of the world as kuku rimau / kuku macan / kuku bima / lawi ayam has a thin spine, smaller in size & very light to carry. It's not a utility knife - It's strictly a weapon.

Pls don't get me wrong guys, I am not putting down HI or whoever. It's just I dont agree with HI's interpretation of Kerambit. Well in the end, personal preference counts....but in my opinion, HI's kerambit does not have the attribute of the real kerambit.

Just my 0.02 cents.

im not sure if im speaking for myself on this one buttttt...
i never considered the HI kerambit a true kerambit lol :p
imo a kerambit isnt a kerambit unless it has a hawkbill style blade...

the HI model is just a very sweet knife with kerambit style handle

We talked about this maybe last week. No it's not a rel kerambit, like the Katana is not a real katana. But WHO CARES?

If it wasn't so big, I would prefer to carry a HI kerambit than, for example, a Derespina Karambit for EDC.

The Derespina is a better Karambit, I will probably get one eventually, they are great, but I think the HI blade would be more practical for a utility knife.

Of course to destroy s-o's limbs Kali style, the HI kerambit won't do the job as good as a real Kerambit, but I don't think anybody here care.
