HI khukuris in India?

Has anyone ever bought HI khukuris in India? I mean, to have them sent to India? I was curious about maybe trying to obtain a couple, one for myself and perhaps one for my potential father-in-law at some point in time.

I bought a 25" bura sirupati in Nov '03 and have just received 18" GS by Kumar this month.
The Siru came by airmail parcel post so it took almost 2 months and I had to go to the customs dept at the Foreign Post Office and convince the custom officers that I just collect these knives and they will not be used to cause "public harm".The Assistant commisioner of customs was quite friendly and he told me that is no real restriction by law, but they can hold back anything which may be used to cause "public harm" :D .
The 18 " GS came by ems ,I received it within 6 days and it was delivered to my home with the customs clearance form attatched.
No customs was required to be paid for both the khuks.

We do ship a few to India. It's hard to believe but we have an easier time getting thru customs shipping for the US than Nepal. Gelbu tried shipping to a doctor in India and customs returned the khukuris three times. They finally had to be hand carried across the border and then sent to doc.
