Thanks, and to keep this in the esee section, I'd like to bring my knife.

Short of consulting an actual attorney (Which I am not!) I would go by what this says:

http://knife-expert.com/hi.txt

Double-check the wording against current hawaii regs to be sure.
Most states have a web page with the full text of all their laws.

Now my interpretation is that they don't have any restrictions on blade size, and that a common knife is not considered a 'weapon'. The law is meant to apply to objects designed primarily as weapons. e.g. brass knuckles, a sword cane...

Switch-blade, dagger or bali-song though are forbidden. But they don't seem concerned at all with normal knives, folding or fixed.

Better than a lot of states for sure.

Now a concealed fixed blade looked ok if it's something like the hest that looks to small to be a weapon. Correct I mean that's what it looked like to me.

Ask the wrong question, get the wrong answer. Knife Laws attracts people interested in the subject who can explain the laws. You didn't even say what knife you have.

Your problem.

Well, who knows what any individual cop might or might not try to charge one with.

But as far as the law goes, carrying a fixed blade of that size does not seem to be illegal.

Uh I want to carry a 5" folder or 4" folder or 3" folder or 3" fixed. Probably vary on what I'm wearing.
