HI Medallion Give Away- (Spring Medallion Passaround Thread)

Ok folks the names were placed in the hat and my daughter just pick the name of the new caretaker of the Medallion.

This guy lately has been one lucky mug.

........I'm speechless! I never won a thing in my entire life, now I win a beautiful sword and now get blessed to be the caretaker of this fine medallion. My wife just asked if I'd like to rethink my thinking and go to the casino and gamble or perhaps buy a lottery ticket.

This is quite a fine group of folks here and I hope you don't develop a lynch mob mentality on the abnormally lucky new guy and put a contract on me.

I do solemnly promise to follow tradition and take exceptional good care of this thing and put it back up for grabs and care taking when the time comes. Perhaps I should break from tradition and put it up in 6 months of so.

I'm completely overwelmed. I'm gonna go grab my lovely Katana and ponder this new and wonderful development. After I contact pugs of course.

The treasured medallion just arrived. Wife actually got it in the mail and brought it down to work so I wouldn't have to wait.

It's a beauty. I'll take special care of it for my allotted time. I may try to create a nice presentation case to go with it when my time is up.

Keep it well, Bawanna! I'm sure you will!! I like the idea of the case. I don't think the medalion could have found a more deserving soul. :)
 
Just a quick half way update on this precious and much sought after Medallion. It's doing fine. I've worked my mind trying to come up with a suitable little display house for it without much success and you can tell I procrastinate from time to time since I've been doing this off and on since March?
Finally today I ordered a little glass dome with a little hook so it will be visible from all angles, kept dust free and allow it's magic to fill the room. It was sad to keep it in the little velvet bag inside it's box.
I'll try to do some personal touches to the new house to make it special.
I'll of course post some pictures when the new house arrives.
I'm still deeply honored to be the caretaker of this fine piece. I'll strive to remember to offer it up when the time comes. It will be hard but its the right thing to do.
 
Congratulations Bawanna! I knew nothing of this medallion? It should be right at home with the rest of your collection. Lots of history in that room. You should have Pugs make a sheath for it :D But it could never get more than fingers length away from his fine work! I wish HI could make special run of these on occasion with new Kamis marks. Tirtha and Rajkumar could be immortalized for example (as they are not already). Well deserved for sure. Cant wait to see pics!
 
Mission accomplished. I kind of figured there might be some new folks unaware of this as I was and my join time was just in time to learn of this and of course I had a heck of a string of good luck which never seems to end here.

I thought by making a post it might keep everyone in the loop. I'll have ya some pics hopefully in a few days.
 
My, I guess I should say OUR medallion house arrived today. I wanted to make something myself but couldn't come up with anything that would work as well as this. Still might do something to make it special, not sure what yet.

I like it out where it can be looked at and appreciated but not get dusty or tarnished by hands etc.
