No worries Eric; for those following the hanshee discussion here is an pic of one of those older 15.5" 19 oz. "hanshees". I sold this one but still have one somewhere in osage orange that is a handy little guy and a great pack knife. To me this size is a good combination providing decent chopping power in a lightweight package.

Most of these were by Bura as far as I know. They all came with nice standard bolsters and white metal fittings IIRC.

Best,

Norm

Norm,

I got this pic from Andrew Col.
It does looked like your New Kobra.

Andrew, mind to correct me?

thanks

Great pix and Knives, thank you for sharing

I apologize for bumping an old thread. Will the person who wrote to me privately about the New Kobra at the time of this thread please email or PM me again? Unfortunately my email file got wiped out in the middle of last year, and I lost quite a bit of correspondence. I've PM'd several people privately with no luck. (Trouble with getting senile, you can't remember usernames anymore!)

Tnx.

Norm

I dont remember if i wrote to you personally or not but i had been asking if anyone knew if HI would make them again or if anyone knew where i could find one

Eric

It really reminded me of an HI version of the Becker Patrol Machete at the time; here they are side by side. I was a Becker freak before I discovered HI, but you need gloves to swing the Becker for very long; not so with the HI...

i've never found either handle to be bothersome, esp Becker :]
