I was just wondering if anyone uses there really "nice" knives? I have a Fallkniven f1 hunter and a Fallkniven T3 folder both are like new as i am reluctant to mark them! but i have a CK little folder which gets used for every job going from opening letters to prising out splinters and it only cost £15 (UK). Just ordered a BM 14200 and again, it,ll probally sit in its box looking shiney!

Trouble is, here in the UK theres not much chance of going anywhere "wild" so a knife tends to get used for opening boxes etc. plus our laws restrict carrying anything apart from a toothpick!
Anyone got an opinion on the BM 14200 ? is it a good general EDC ?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome Aboard!
The nice thing about having nice things is to be able to use them, so use away.

Welcome.. I have gotten to the point where I get more satisfaction out of using them. However that being said I do have a small collection of slipjoints that I do not use. Just take them out and fondle them...:D

Hi!! Welcome to BF!!! I hope you have fun and learn alot here on BF!!

You asked if anyone uses their good knives. Yes, I DO use my Custom knives. In fact, I use exclusively custom knives!

I like Fallkniven knives, myself.

But much more expensive knives have been declared 'Users' and are merrily being abused today, as we type. I've done it myself.

What's a knife for, if not to cut...or chop? Is it really a knife, if it can't or doesn't?

I shall not be guilty of denying a knife -- of preventing it from reaching its destiny.

I think this post has encouraged me to start using them as its the reason why they were made and bought (as old physics poettically? stated)
Thanks to all for your replies, excellent forum.
