Finally! Here is the final version of the HI Superfrog. Highest quality leather we can find, double or triple stitched, brass eyelets. We are there.

Got rid of those cheap, awful rivets that I've always hated.

Perserverance.

Khukuri FAQ

Hi Uncle Bill I really enjoy seeing all of the pics that you post. Now a newbie question :
Whats a frog ?

JD

A question even I can answer!

Uncle Bill posted the picture upside down.

Arrgh: my link doesn't work. OK, look for the underlined link to "Khukuri FAQ" at the bottom of Uncle Bill's post. Click on it. Scroll down til you get to the "Carry and Storage Options". Click on that. Right at the top is a picture of a khukuri in it's sheath, and the sheath is inserted into a frog.

The sheath can be inserted or taken out of the holder (frog) that is slipped through the belt without taking the belt off. You've seen the rings on cop's belts for flashlights or batons? Same idea.

Uncle Bill,

Looks great!! Do you think my chiruwa AK will come with new superfrog?

Rob

Cool, thanks for the info. I love this forum and cant wait for my brochure to arrive.

This the the frog that I have on my new AK. It is very well done and looks great. Nice leather strips between the eyelets. Just hit the frog and sheath last night with some Kiwi Black-"looking good". DaveAZ

Those do look good uncle Bill. I probably would want them on my entire collection including the Bowie. What are you using to lace them?

Okay, here's my goofy sense of humor at work.

What does the upside down HI Superfrog remind you of?

well Bob, to me it looks like an undergarment that belongs in Rusty's Kama Sutra oil thread

When I first saw it I thought Uncle Bill had mistakenly taken a picture of his leather jock strap, then I got to thinking that maybe it was a picture of a Nepalese chastity belt. Finally, my other brain cell kicked in and I realized it was an upside down frog.

Bob, Mauirob, Steven, Harry - are you trying to suggest that Bill spin the sarkis off into making items of black leather apparel? Accessories? Restraints? BTW, the choji sutra ( clove/kama sutra ) oil does soften the leather up nicely.

Hehehe. I would never suggest such a thing.

Would be quite a sideline though, wouldn't it?

Now, you've got me sniggering to myself. Oh well, it's Friday and I needed a good chuckle.

The katas ( forms ) do seem to take on entirely different directions based on whether you put T before I or I before T, i.e.

marITal
vs.
marTIal

don't they?
